Golf Tips on Driving That Perfect Shot

It’s a common misconception that driving is all about the power. While driving is largely focused on it, there are many other fundamentals that need to be perfected before you send your ball flying. Fixing the basic swinging steps is a good place to start your improvements. If you are a more visual learner, you can see the proper posture and grip by watching tutorial videos on the internet.

Keeping a wide, but not too wide, stance allows your body to rotate and use the proper momentum to hit the ball in the right spot. Rest your weight on your dominate side, and have your dominate hand lower on the club. One tip masters always say to use is to stare at the ball and never look away. This allows you to visualize where your ball is now, and where it will be going.

Now it’s time for the stroke. While still staring at your ball get ready for your swing. Pull back for your backswing keeping the arm closest to the tee straight. Then, evenly head toward the ball with your down-stroke turning your hips with the swing to move your weight to your front foot. Follow through with the same easy movement.

Now that you’ve completed the rest of these steps, the swing should be easy. Minimal movement with your body, a harder arm swing, and a straight plane with your arm and club will make this swing a sure hit. After initial contact, your body will be facing the ball-or where it used to be!
