Aurora Attractions – Aurora Golf Courses

If you are a golfer and live in or plan to visit Aurora Colorado you are in luck. The city is home to a number of different golf courses to challenge you. Keep reading and learn about a couple of the courses you might want to check out.

One golf course that is worth a visit is called Centre Hills Golf Course. This course has a number of great features including a lit driving range as well as putting and chipping greens. It was designed by Richard Phelps in 1973 and is a nine hole par three course which totals just over 1300 yards in total length. Another course located in Aurora is Meadow Hills Golf Course. This course is a bit more challenging. It was built in 1955 and was designed by Henry Hughes. It is a par 70 course totaling over 6700 yards in length. It is a beautiful and difficult course with mature trees and lakes surrounding the fairways. Green fees for this course are a bit higher at $24 during the week and $26 during the weekend. The information line for this course is 303-690-2500.

The last course I will mention is Fitzsimons Golf Course. This golf course has some history since it was originally built back in 1939 and has been used by such notable people as President Dwight Eisenhower. This course is also quite a challenge with an almost 600 yard par 5 eighteenth hole. Green fees here are $18 during the week and $20 on weekends.
