Does the golf swish drill generate more distance off the tee?

I thought it slows your swing speed down, because the club feels heavier, and why do they make weighted golf clubs that say that it increases your swing speed? One or all must be wrong. Thanks.

Yes, it definitely does. I do the swish drill every day for the past week and can hit 50 yards farther!

The Swish teaches timing…..and the weighted clubs will increase core strength…so neither is wrong. When used in conjunction with lessons to improve ball contact they can aid in increasing distance.

swish drill helps you see (hear) where you are releasing the clubhead in the swing. A well timed hands release increases accuracy and clubhead speed through the hitting area. Swish should happen at the ball or for some clubs…just ahead of the ball. Short answer…yeah, it can help. weighted clubs help build hand, wrist, forearm strength also helps with distance.
