What Golf magazine should I subscribe to?

I went to the driving range and soon fell in love with the game. I just received my first clubs and bag and went with the boss to play my first round of golf, and yes I am absolutely terrible. I want to pick up the best golfing magazine for newbies like myself. Any suggestions?

Golf digest and golf magazine are the best in helping you improve your game.

I think Golf Magazine is probably more helpful, but Golf Digest is definitely more entertaining.

I have a subscription to Golf Magazine, and I love it. I read Golf Digest on the side (is that cheating? LOL) and I occasionally read Golf Tips.

Golf Digest seems to be too uppity for me, but getting Tiger Tips is pretty nice. They do have the top 50 teachers write articles (not all 50 in every month) but usually the same ones, and they seem to assume we’re all the same person.

Golf Tips is alright, but sometimes the graphics that correspond to the article can be confusing or too busy. Their product preview articles are very intriguing, though.

Golf Magazine is my fav for all kinds of reasons, and especially this one: David Feherty. He is the funniest person in golf, and his back page article is always worth reading. The downside is, you’ll never see an article by Tiger, Annika, or Butch Harmon (but you can read instructional articles about them… especially Tiger), cause they only write for Golf Digest. But there are still plenty of things to get your interest, and personally, I feel their instruction is more comprehensive. My favs are Brady Riggs, Robert Baker and Anne Caine, but there are many more that do just as well. The “extra” stuff is also worth reading, like their in-depth looks at the Major venues.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the game!
