Completely brand new, you’re talking over a 1300 bucks easily depending on the brand. Don’t fret, there are very good pre-owned options for you to pick from. I would never buy a set of irons completely new unless money wasn’t an issue. Money is always an issue. I’ve bought everything off of ebay except my putter. I find something in a store somewhere and try it out to see if I like it. Then I go home and find it on ebay. Custom fitting isn’t an issue for me since I’ve been measured for standard length clubs. Go with the prior year’s model because they will be cheaper and still in very good condition. You may luck up and find something that hasn’t been used.

That question has so many answers …

It all depends upon what you buy and where. A new set of name brand clubs from a pro shop will set you back $800 to $1,000. A set of off-brand (but still good, such as Tour Edge) clubs could run $400 to $800. Then there’s the used club market.

My standard answer is always that you should go to a good pro shop, and get fitted. Tell them your price range so they don’t fit you to a twelve hundred dollar set of exotic clubs.

You might also try a custom clubmaker-fitter. They often can put together a cheaper set using club components. Brands you can trust in components include GolfWorks, GolfSmith and Wishon. GolfWorks in particular makes some nice clubs for women. I built my wife a custom set from GolfWorks components.

Hey, my advice to you, depending on skill level, would be to go out and get a set of Callaway Fusion irons, easy to hit, and you could prolly pick up a set used for around $450, less on Ebay, standard S300 steel shafts would be good. A good driver would be the Taylor Made Burner, 10.5 if you are a 10 or higher hadicapper, I would go with a Callaway FT-5 9* if you are a sub 10 handicapper. Anywhere from $200-400 for a driver. Spend a day at your local Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith type store with a putter and your set for around $1000 with a nice bag, some tees, couple dozen balls and a glove.

You can find golf clubs for very resonable. These people are quoting prices that are for high end clubs, which you don’t need for highschool ball. You can find them at Target sometimes and at a sporting goods store. Next time you come to town (dont mention a name of a town on here), my husband and I will take you shopping to look at some.
