What lofted hybrid golf club replaces the 4 iron?

I have several hybrid golf clubs that were given to me and I want to know which one would be the 4 iron replacement?

    Try a hybrid with 22° – 24° of loft. The # on the hybrid may vary by manufacturer. Of course if you can get a demo, testing it on the golf course before you buy is the best way to find out.

    20 degree= 4 iron…18*= 3 iron….22*-23*= 5 iron…SIMPLE!

    It differs with different manufacturers. In my shop I have several different brands with the same lofts but but each one may give you different yardages. For instance there is an inch and a half difference in the club length from the longest one to the shortest one of the same loft. The design of the head can effect distance also. Since you already have the hybrids the simplest way would be to go to the range and hit some shots with your 4 iron and then with your hybrids . The hybrid that goes the same distance as your 4 iron would be the one that replaces it.

    This is a fantastic question, and one that has confused a lot of golfers. In theory it would be as simple as checking the loft on your 4-iron and getting a hybrid with the same loft. But, a hybrid is NOT an iron, and the lofts can be a misleading way to compare; irons and hybrids are different types of club. There’s even a difference between supposedly similar-lofted hybrids made by different manufacturers.

    Generally you need to try these clubs out to be sure as your swing may also play a part in how they perform for you. Compare how they all perform relative to the irons you wish to replace.

    You should first try a 23- or 24-degree hybrid as your 4-iron replacement. If you get a very high launch or the distance doesnt match what you can achieve with your 4-iron, then you’re probably better of choosing the 20- to 22-degree hybrid as the replacement.

    Usually 22 degree loft. I use a 22 degree loft hybrid cause im not that confident using a 4 iron.
