Tips to Improve Your Golf Putting
Golf is a great sport but if you are anything like me there is always room for improving your game.
Putting is probably one of the most important parts of any golf game and there are many variables that can affect the way the ball will react when struck. For example…
1. The type of grass that the green is made from and how well it is kept 2. Weather conditions can also play an important part in how the ball will roll.
However here are four general tips that can improve your putting,
1. Make sure that your grip is comfortable.
If you are a beginner, experiment with different grips until you find one that you are comfortable with then stick with it. If you keep swapping and changing, your putting will be inconsistent and this is obviously not what you want. A good tip here is to watch the pros. and try to copy what they do.
2. Stance is important.
Make sure that you set-up your stance exactly the same for every putting shot you take.
3. Don’t move your head.
A common problem is that a player will follow the ball when it is struck which will cause your stance to shift slightly which results in a missed putt.
Try to keep your head perfectly still until after you have struck the ball. If you watch a lot of pros. they don’t lift their heads until the ball reaches the hole.
Try it, I bet you will be surprised.
4. Practice, practice, practice.
Keep on practicing because like most things, the more you practice the better you will become.
Above all, Enjoy your Golf.
