Work on You Swing on a Golf Vacation

Golf and Myrtle Beach: the two fit like a hand and a glove. There are over one hundred golf courses, and so many of them are award winning that it would take a laundry list to mention them all. Myrtle Beach vacations are geared towards the golfing industry, and golfing is so popular that there are entire publications devoted to just that.

Many of the Myrtle Beach golf courses have resort like atmospheres. Vacation packages are abundantly available for the golfer – both novice and pro. These packages usually include a stay at the resort, meals and a couple of days on the links. The vacation packages are different in size and price, but are usually very good deals. Myrtle Beach golf is an extraordinary experience. The courses are pristine and well cared for, and the ocean breeze and the exceptional weather make walking from hole to hole a real treat. There are so many courses located in the area that there is something for every level of player out there. Many golf resorts have a family atmosphere that has activities for each family member, not just the golf enthusiast. The resorts are typically five star affairs with all the amenities needed to make your Myrtle Beach vacation one for the memory books. In addition, many golfing packages include lessons with a pro player and equipment rentals.

The weather in Myrtle Beach is temperate year round. Of course, the summer can be hot. The best time to experience a vacation geared towards golfing is late fall and early spring, and these times of the year have several advantages. But look for late fall and early spring to be the most crowded times for the courses – as this is the time of the year when many “snow birds” show up (folks from the north east that travel south for the winter). If crowds are just not your thing then the dead of the winter may be more for you. The winter offers an extra special bonus: discounts. During the coldest months of the winter (normally the temperature does not dip below fifty degrees) the discounts are deep. July and August also might find some deep discounts as well, although it can get pretty hot during these months – but if you don’t mind the heat, you can plan to spend significantly less on your golf vacation during this time.

No matter what time of year you visit Myrtle Beach, however, you’ll find that golf is always in “season” and that there are tons of challenging courses set along the Grand Strand’s most beautiful jewel.
